In early development · for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 · MSFS 2024
Your whole duty day.
One sim session.
SectorDay chains every leg of an airline shift together. Pick a report time, get your roster and dispatch, then fly sector after sector — the turnaround between legs is handled for you, and you never go back to the main menu.
Not for sale. A personal project, built in the open — follow along for updates.
How a duty day works
Report, fly, turn, repeat.
The rhythm of a real short-haul shift — compressed into one continuous flight in the sim.
-
04:55Z
Sign on
Choose your airline, base and report time. SectorDay builds a realistic roster — legs, times and minimum turns — inside a duty limit you set (13 hours by default).
-
05:55Z
Fly
Every leg gets a SimBrief dispatch link pre-filled with route, aircraft, flight number and departure time. Generate it, fetch it into the day, go fly.
-
06:55Z
Turnaround
Park, brake, shut down. On-blocks is detected and the turn begins: next flight plan, fuel and payload, with the turn timer running. In development
-
07:40Z
Repeat
Skip time to just before the next departure if you like, then push back again. Same session, same aircraft, next sector.
-
13:55Z
Sign off
Close the day with a summary of block hours, duty time, on-time performance and every landing rate.
Features
Built around the whole day, not a single flight.
Here’s what’s in the development build and what’s still being built. Everything is labelled honestly.
-
Roster builder
A realistic multi-sector day from your airline, hub, aircraft and ops style — short-haul, low-cost quick-turn, regional and more. Prefer your own legs? Enter them yourself.
Prototype -
SimBrief dispatch, pre-filled
One link per leg, already filled with origin, destination, type, airline, flight number, OFP layout and departure time. You just press Generate, then fetch the OFP into the day.
Prototype -
Automatic turnaround
After on-blocks: load the next flight plan, set fuel and payload through SimConnect, start the turn timer, optional time skip. No trip back to the main menu.
In development -
Crew Ready Room
An immersive crew room on your desktop. Check the departures board, brief weather and NOTAMs, open the dispatch terminal and walk out through the crew door to sign on.
Prototype -
Cockpit EFB tablet
An in-sim tablet app with the day sheet, the current leg, the turnaround checklist and your end-of-day summary, without alt-tabbing.
In development -
SayIntentions.AI, if you use it
Optional: cabin crew announcements, an ACARS loadsheet and next-leg summary, gate assignment and weather, using your own SayIntentions.AI account. SectorDay works fully without it.
In development · optional -
Your airline, your colours
Ships with original fictional airlines. Create your own with a name, ICAO code, callsign, colours and logo, or import an airline pack, and the Ready Room re-themes to match.
Prototype -
Diagnostics built in
Every session is logged locally. One click saves a debug report with secrets masked, so a problem can be looked at without you having to reproduce it.

The Ready Room
Every duty day starts in the crew room.
SectorDay opens in a crew room, not a settings window. Click the departures board, the briefing pinboard, the dispatch terminal or the crew door. Each one opens the part of the day it stands for.
Screens from the current development build. All airlines shown are fictional. Details will change.
Cockpit tablet In development
The day, on the tablet in your cockpit.
A tablet app for the MSFS 2024 EFB keeps the whole day in reach while you sit in the seat: what’s next, what’s loaded, and how long until you push.
- Day sheet: scheduled and actual times for every sector
- Current leg: OFP numbers, route and live state
- Turnaround: a live checklist as the plan, fuel and payload load, with a countdown to off-block
- Time skip and sign off, straight from the tablet
Shown in the EFB preview, running a scripted three-leg demo. It isn’t in the cockpit yet: we’re still testing whether the MSFS 2024 tablet can connect to the desktop app.

FAQ
Questions, answered.
What will I need to run it?
A Windows 10 or 11 PC (64-bit), Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and a SimBrief account (free). SayIntentions.AI is optional.
Can I buy or download SectorDay?
Not yet. SectorDay is in early development and is only for personal use for now. There’s no price and no release date. Register interest and you’ll hear when that changes.
Does it work with MSFS 2020?
No. SectorDay is being built for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 only.
Will it work with my aircraft?
Aircraft are being tested one at a time. Some study-level add-ons manage their own fuel and payload and reset outside changes. For those, the plan is that you load the aircraft yourself and SectorDay keeps the rest of the day running.
Do I need SayIntentions.AI?
No. It adds crew announcements, ACARS messages and weather if you already use it, but everything works without it.
Can I fly for a real airline?
SectorDay comes with original fictional airlines and lets you create your own name, codes, colours and logo. It doesn’t include any real airline names or logos.
What happens to my email address?
It’s used only to send occasional SectorDay development updates. It’s never sold or shared, and you can ask to be removed at any time by replying to any update.
